The idea of returning to work for a new opportunity was so exciting! I actually interviewed for and received a promotion during my maternity leave. While I loved maternity leave, Lincoln was a difficult baby, and I was SO ready to head back to work after my summer off. I took another 12 week maternity leave with Lincoln while we were living with my in-laws and building our home. I finished up while I was pregnant with Lincoln (again-that final semester of grad school while being in my first trimester of pregnancy was FUN). But I survived! I took a 12 week maternity leave with Jackson, and then jumped back into school to complete my MBA. I cannot say that is something I recommend. Grad school and first trimester of pregnancy. I started working on my MBA shortly after we got married, and found out we were pregnant with Jackson right as the program started. I got my bachelors, and jumped right into the working world.

I have been working full time since I graduated college. A Little Backstoryįirst, a little backstory. I am not sure it ever will, and I am pinching myself every single day that this is my new reality. I left my full time job and am now a full time blogger! Oh my goodness, these sandals! They look like the much more expensive Steve Madden pair that I own, but they are only $20! They run true to size and are a perfect beach/pool shoe! Taking this blog full time has been the biggest blessing for our family and is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Finding my groove will just have to wait another month or two until they both head back to school! Thank you for bearing with me during this season of so much very good change. Again-it is the best chaos ever that I am so thankful for. And once we finally made it to summer, my boys dropped to going to daycare 2x per week, and I have been busy bringing them to soccer and playing in the pool. As soon as I quit, Lincoln scaled back on daycare, and had weeks off, spring break, etc.
A good chaos, without question! But, I haven’t gotten into a ‘groove’ yet. I am at least getting this post up during the first half of July 😉 I have said it a few times recently, but it has felt like chaos since I left my job back in March. Alright you guys, I am not quite as behind on my top sellers for June.
